Last Thursday, we had the privilege of going to Summit High School in Bend to watch the Oregon State Beavers football team have their intra-squad scrimmage. It was a blast hanging out with my buddies from OYCP as we watched the Beavers play against each other. It was fun to watch the game and eat our sack lunch on the bleachers. We got to watch the team warm up, practice, and then run some plays against each other. Even though I am a Ducks fan, I still have state pride and loved being able to watch live football. It was almost like a regular day back home; nice weather, good food, and great company. We also had excellent seats, we were so close we could hear the hits coming off the field. Being there also gave me a peek into college life, and how it can really make a difference in someone’s future. Overall, everyone had a great time and really enjoyed this excellent event.
